We are going to SACNAS Conference
When: 10/31/2024 to 11/02/2024 @ Phoenix Convention Center
Our esteemed PI, Dr. Nabora Reyes De Barboza, will represent the University of California, San Diego’s School of Biological Sciences at the annual SACNAS NDiSTEM Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. SACNAS (Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science) is a premier organization that promotes diversity and inclusion in STEM fields. In addition, PhD student researcher Alma Renero and undergraduate researcher Jeremiah Aquino will attend the conference to explore cutting-edge scientific research from around the world and gain insights into new techniques that can enhance their own research.

Talked to students from San Diego City College in Yo Soy Stem program earlier this month! We had a great time connecting with the Latinx/Chicanx stem community and showing them around the lab 🙂 pic.twitter.com/N9t8YPpEH0
