Our esteemed PI, Dr. Nabora Reyes De Barboza, represented the University of California, San Diego’s School of Biological Sciences at the annual SACNAS NDiSTEM Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. SACNAS (Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science) is a premier organization that promotes diversity and inclusion in STEM fields. In addition, PhD student researcher Alma Renero and undergraduate researcher Jeremiah Aquino attended the conference to explore cutting-edge scientific research from around the world and gain insights into new techniques that can enhance their own research.
