Exploring the frontiers of lung regeneration and cellular senescence

Our Research

Who We Are

The Reyes lab explores the behaviors, characteristics, and consequences of secreted protein induction by senescent cells in vivo with the ultimate goal to expand our knowledge of creating possibilities for novel therapeutics in the fields of aging and regeneration.

We combine advanced mouse genetic tools, physiology, latest sequencing technologies and quantitative proteomics to determine how senesent cells function throughout region specific lung microenvironment and how p16INK4a expression contributes to induction of secreted proteins in vivo.
